Officially, ground has been broken & construction is well under way at exit 9 of I-575. The Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta, is scheduled to be completed Summer 2013. This project will put Woodstock, Georgia on the tourism map of North Georgia. It’s estimated the center will draw four million visitors from Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. Boasting over 90 stores, this 370,000 square-foot outlet mall makes for much community enjoyment.
The Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta is the largest retail project in Cherokee County. This project is on 58.6 acres, and when completed is projected to generate $130 million in annual taxes. Expect 1,300 permanent jobs, with 300 of them to be management jobs. If you’re a retiree, stay at home parent, or college student, these are needed employment opportunities for our local economy.
